Guys are just like music, I just realized. This personification of males may seem too shallow, but it just kind of make sense to some of us girls. But of course, different girls do feel differently for different types (or patterns they sometimes call) of guys. What do you think?
I’m going to be a little thick-skinned here for awhile. I guess it’s no harm mentioning the type of guy I prefer, because 1. I’m unattached and 2. no guys would bother about what I say here. So here I go.
On the very first note, the music must be able to lure me to taking a closer listen to it to find out its lyrics and what they mean. I like sensible lyrics, not some ”tuo diao tuo diao!” or “I love you, you love me…” crap. I’ll puke. But please spare me of the Shakespeare-poetic-mushy stuff, because I do have a very weak stomach to start with. Just something which makes sense and I can feel that all these comes from the inside. I’m pretty easy.
I prefer mid- to slow-tempo stuff, although it must not be too boring it becomes a hypnotizing tune to lure babies to sleep. Plenty of acoustic guitars, occasional drums for the dramatic lover, and I wouldn’t mind the piano, despite it being too ordinary. Give me techno or the “yo yo yo…” stuff and I’ll punch your face in. Mark my words.
Okay I admit, MY kind of music (or guy) would be similar to a rock ballad. The lyrics are simple to define, the chords play in a conventional pattern, and the voice fuses all these elements together perfectly. The rock element and the ballad element would be the best combination ever. Slight head-banging there would be, and the music makes you wanna hug the person next to you and say “I appreciate your everything, even if you’re an old hag with bulging eyeballs and frozen drool on your mouth.” Trust me, you’ll feel like the world loves you so much, because everyone loves every other person.
